It started on the way home from a Pilates class in May 2024. Our travellers’ friend, Mr K sent a message regarding a good deal on a Canada/Alaska trip. ‘Snap!’ Ms X had already seen it. The only dates available for this deal would be a departure early September 2025.
Not a problem as Ms X’s beloved Collingwood Magpies were making no progress on the AFL’s league ladder and were destined to miss the finals. Which they did.
By the end of that day, the trip was booked, deposits paid and the trip was filed away in the back of Ms X’s mind.
UNTIL…. You guessed it. Collingwood were on TOP of the ladder for the majority of the 2025 …yadda, yadda, yadda, as our travellers boarded their outbound flight, Collingwood and Geelong (Mr X’s team) had now made it through to the last 4 teams standing, with the winners of these future preliminary finals making it to the GRAND FINAL!
So, if you have been wondering how these 2 footy-obsessed retirees have landed in the northern hemisphere, you now have been told. Let’s just hope there is data/wifi coverage in the Bering Sea as they cross the International Date Line.
I’ve read this. I’ve heard you explain it to me. But I still don’t get it. Not even a little bit.
That was Amev. It’s very hard to leave a comment on this blog.
