It had been eight long years since our Melburnian retirees had seen their buddies from Minnesota. What a week it was when these four got together, reminiscing, adventuring, exploring, laughing, eating and drinking. As much as this trip was about experiencing Vancouver, it was about meeting up with long-time, treasured friends.

Did we play our favourite game, “Name a Canadian”:Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, Michael J Fox, Mike Myers, Alexander Graham Bell….sorry, time for a woffee!

The view from our hotel window with the Seawall in front.

There were so many memories to take away from the week so our photos, in no particular order might help.

The Gastown clock. “WOW”
  • Heading to dinner at an Italian place in Gastown whilst ticking off the Gas clock where everyone in the group promised to say “wow” for our planner’s sake.

  • Mr S and Ms N tasting their first oyster~ not sure if that will become a staple in their diet!

  • Visiting Granville Island for brunch at the market and leisurely wandering the iconic area.
Checking out some living quarters on Granville Island.
“How are those Vikings going to go this season?”
“What, the Magpies and Cats are in the preliminary finals!”
Always finding time for a woffee or a boffee. No moffees this trip!
Checking out the many flower pots of Vancouver and hearing Ms X has ask Mr X to duplicate on their return.
