One of the special things about this adventure was the glaciers viewed. Hubbard glacier, Exit glacier, and Mendenhall glacier to name but a few. Some might say, seen one glacier, seen ‘em all. However, pictures and brochures of them don’t do them justice at all. As Seinfeld’s Elaine Benes would say, when “they’re real and spectacular “ they are always pretty special.

Others, we had to work harder to see them. This group of retirees set out on a hike to view one even closer. Our guide was able to point out the evidence of bears in the area and the different flora around that you wouldn’t want to touch or ingest.
